Tournament Phases

The Players will register and pay the tournament fee.

Participants are divided into different age groups.
Categories: Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10.

Participants will go through the Swiss League. Each player plays a predetermined number of rounds, regardless of wins or losses, ensuring everyone has multiple opportunities to compete.

Top-ranked players from each category will compete for the Junior Chess Master title in their respective divisions.
Winners from each category will be awarded trophies and prizes, with special recognition for standout performances.

Rules of the Tournament
Rate of Play: - 15 minutes + 3 seconds per move.
❖ Default time: - 15 Minutes
❖ Those who lose point by coming late should inform the chief arbiter to retain their name in the Pairing list.
❖ Tiebreak: 1. Buchholz Cut 1 , 2. Buchholz , 3. Sonneborn-Berger,4. Direct Encounter,, 5. Number of wins (forfeit included)
❖ Two illegal moves will be lost. For First illegal move, You have to inform the arbiter you will get 1 minute increment in clock.
❖ Types of Illegal moves

If your king is in check and you place it or leave the king in check

If you move any piece not as per its proper movement lets say 'if you move a bishop like a Rook or like a knight like a bishop

Without making any move you press the clock

If you capture opponent the 's King

If you castle or capture any piece using two hands
❖ Touch to move is compulsory.
❖ Please note you need to play and press the clock with the same hand
❖ Strict silence should be maintained in the playing hall.
❖ Analysis is not allowed in the playing hall.
❖ After your game is over , You need to submit the result to the Arbiter
❖ If you are not satisfied with the decision of the arbiter you can call the chief arbiter
